I’m getting sick of this

As a black woman with a strong opinion, I’m constantly having to defend myself against allegations that I am too aggressive, bitter, or that I am always mad. I am nothing of the sort lovely. I am extremely assertive due to my passionate standpoints and knowing exactly what I want or mean. Calling me aggressive isn’t only disrespectful but it shows me that because I am a black woman with a voice you deem it as a threat and would rather mislabel me and try to ignore me rather than trying to hear where I am coming from. If I was a man I wouldn’t have to deal with the same repercussions. So before you ever open your mouth  to call any woman aggressive or anything else of the nature – don’t.
